3 Steps To Healing & Creating A Life You Love

How I Did It Step-by-Step

If you’re reading this, it’s likely because you carry the weight of something that needs healing—know that you are not alone in this experience. Healing can feel like an overwhelming mountain to climb, but here’s a shift in mindset: what if you saw healing not as an obligation but as a heartfelt desire?

When we transform our perspective this way, healing no longer feels like a burden. Instead, it reveals itself as a vibrant journey towards a fulfilling life. Just like the excitement of pursuing that dream handbag or a picturesque home by the lake, your healing journey can be ignited with genuine desire.

Visualize the end of your healing journey not as an unyielding brick wall but as a beautiful, open field filled with endless opportunities. Here, you discover that healing and manifesting are intertwined, and you, my dear friend, possess the immense power to create a life that resonates with your deepest desires.

In this article, I will share the three transformative steps that reshaped my healing quest into my life's most empowering, fulfilling, and creatively enriching experience.

Step One: I Built Self-Worth

When I embarked on my healing adventure, I struggled with painfully low self-worth. Having endured so much trauma and drama, I began to despise the very notion of my existence. It was a dark chapter, yet it was essential for me to experience that struggle; it led me to understand the luminous self-worth I possess today.

To rebuild my self-worth, I devised a simple formula: Self-worth = Self-love + Self-Appreciation.

Learning Self-Love:

Embracing self-love meant nurturing a relationship with a God or the Universe that feels warm and supportive rather than harsh, judgmental, or unfair. This was not about adhering to inherited beliefs but recognizing a divine presence within and around me. The more time I spent feeling into this warm, supportive energy, the greater access I had to it.

Eventually, tapping into the energy helped me develop my intuition and greater discernment. I finally knew when I was on the healing path and when I was off the path. Because of this newfound awareness, I took more responsibility for my healing journey.

Developing Self-Appreciation:

I quickly realized that self-appreciation isn’t about admiring yourself. It’s about appreciating your most valuable asset, which is YOU. To do this, you must make personal development a cornerstone of your life experience.

Here’s how I’ve developed over the years. First, I developed my voice by telling my story online. When I found an authentic voice that resonated with people, I started building a community. Once I had a growing community, I started my coaching practice. I developed my coaching practice by learning how to build and grow a business, and the rest is history.

Now, when I show up to anything in my life, I have a huge list of accomplishments that allow me to appreciate who I’ve become. And, it’s even more meaningful to me because who I’ve become was born out of an incredibly wounded young woman who didn’t have a fighting chance when I first started my healing journey.

Step Two: I Took The Wisdom From My Wounds

One of the most challenging yet essential aspects of healing is discovering the wisdom hidden within our wounds. Instead of viewing our past experiences solely as scars that hinder us, we can learn to see them as valuable lessons that shape our growth. This transformational perspective allows us to build a ladder towards higher levels of consciousness, where we can exist in a healed state rather than remain defined by our wounds.

A common misconception about healing is that it is a never-ending journey. While it is true that we will always encounter new challenges, it is equally important to recognize the progress we have made. My clients and I intentionally acknowledge moments when we are healed because if we don’t, we might be on a hamster wheel thinking we’re still at the level of our wounds.

The more we recognize our healing, the more likely we are to create our life experience from a healed state of awareness.

The wisdom from your wounds acts as rungs on a ladder to higher levels of consciousness, where we become more emotionally intelligent and resilient. Even though we will experience wounds at every level of consciousness, the higher we climb, the less the wound stings and the easier it is to let go.

Step Three: I Found My Why

Desiring something is one thing; understanding why you desire it is another. In the Manifesting Boot Camp, we always start with why. Why? Knowing your why helps you develop an emotional connection to your desire. Once an emotional connection is formed, you are more likely to do the things you need to do to achieve the desire.

For example, after my husband died, I wanted to heal from grief so I didn’t feel so bad all the time, but I couldn’t feel an emotional connection to that reason. So, instead, I spent time uncovering my real why.

My real why was that I wanted to heal to open my heart to love again - which was something I was deeply connected to.

An emotional connection accomplishes two critical things. First, it keeps you focused on the actions needed to achieve your desire. Second, it guides your subconscious to follow the pathways necessary to fulfill that desire.

When you arrive at your TRUE why you inevitably make a deep and lasting commitment to not only healing but creating a life you love.
