Manifesting Myth You Need To Know Before You Read Any Further

If you’re reading this blog, you have undoubtedly heard that “you create your reality,” which is a complete and total lie—and I’ll prove it to you.

If you created your reality, would you have created COVID? How about the loss of a loved one? Gas prices at $4, $5, or $6 per gallon? No - you wouldn’t. But at least one of those things has been part of your reality, right? Right…. So, you DO NOT create your reality.

You create your EXPERIENCE inside of a much larger co-created reality. And when you get good at creating your experience, the thing you want to manifest naturally becomes part of your reality. So, let’s start with Mistake #1.

Mistake #1 - Manifesting the Thing Instead of the Experience

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to manifest is focusing on the thing they want rather than the experience it brings. The experience is what truly creates the feeling of already having what you desire.

When you focus on the experience, you align yourself with the feeling of already having what you want. This feeling is essential because it sends a clear signal to the universe that you are ready to receive. Here are a few examples:

Manifesting Money vs. Manifesting Freedom

For example, you might think you want to manifest money. But what you’re really after is the freedom that money provides. By focusing on the experience of freedom, you’re more likely to attract the financial abundance you seek.

Manifesting a Soul Mate vs. Manifesting Intimacy

Similarly, if you want to manifest a soul mate, you’re probably seeking the feelings of intimacy and safety that come with companionship. By focusing on these feelings, you align yourself with the energy of having a loving relationship.

Manifesting Healing vs. Manifesting Vitality and Longevity

Even when trying to manifest healing from a disease like cancer, it’s not just about the absence of illness. It’s about the experience of vitality and longevity. Focusing on these experiences can bring about a more profound sense of well-being.

Mistake #2 - Manifesting from a Place of Need and Want

When you try to manifest from a place of need and want, you create a sense of urgency and lack. This mindset can put your nervous system on overdrive and send mixed signals to the universe. 

A state of urgency activates your fight-or-flight response, making it difficult to maintain the calm and focused energy required for effective manifestation.

When you’re in a state of need, you’re essentially telling the universe that you don’t have what you want. This can attract more of what you don’t want—lack and scarcity.

Mistake #3 - Not Healing Wounded Beliefs and Cognitive Biases

Wounded beliefs, which stem from past traumas or experiences, are negative beliefs about yourself or the world. They not only hinder your ability to manifest what you desire and deserve but also close your mind, blocking you from perceiving the potential and possibilities available to you.

Cognitive biases are mental shortcuts that can distort your perception and decision-making. These biases can prevent you from seeing opportunities and solutions that are right in front of you.

Beliefs and biases create something like horse blinders, limiting your perception and blocking what you desire from coming into your life. By healing these wounds, you open yourself up to new possibilities.
